Its minimalist design, soft stitches, and gentle features make it perfect as a baby gift, nursery decoration, or cuddly companion for all ages. Whether you knit for relaxation or for gifting, this bunny will melt hearts instantly.

🧵 Materials You’ll Need

  • Yarn: Soft chunky or worsted-weight yarn in white
  • Needles: 4 mm circular or double-pointed needles
  • Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
  • Embroidery thread: Brown or grey for the nose and mouth
  • Safety eyes: 6–8 mm black
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

🐇 Head

  1. Cast on 24 stitches.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for 16 rows.
  3. Begin to decrease by knitting 2 together every other round until 6 stitches remain.
  4. Cut the yarn, thread through remaining stitches, and pull tight to close.
  5. Stuff the head lightly and shape it into a sphere.

🩵 Body

  1. Cast on 28 stitches.
  2. Knit in rounds for about 20 rows to form the body’s length.
  3. Start decreasing every 4 stitches for 2 rounds, then every 2 stitches for the next 2 rounds.
  4. Close the opening with your yarn needle and stuff the body firmly before finishing.

🐰 Ears (make 2)

  1. Cast on 10 stitches.
  2. Knit 14 rows in stockinette stitch.
  3. Decrease 1 stitch at each end every other row until 4 stitches remain.
  4. Bind off and sew the edges together slightly to shape the ear.
  5. Sew both ears securely to the top of the head.

🦶 Arms & Legs

Arms:

  • Cast on 8 stitches, knit for 10 rows, stuff lightly, and attach to body sides.

Legs:

  • Cast on 10 stitches, knit for 12 rows, stuff firmly, and sew to the bottom of the body.

🪡 Finishing Touches

  • Embroider a small “X” mouth and nose using brown thread.
  • Add safety eyes evenly spaced about 7 stitches apart.
  • Optional: Attach a little scarf or ribbon around its neck for decoration.

💖 Final Size

Your bunny will stand approximately 22–25 cm (8–10 inches) tall, depending on your yarn tension and needle size — perfect for hugging or gifting!
